Sony SRS-XB10 Wireless Speaker - Review

This is a product review on the Sony SRS-XB10 Wireless Speaker I bought recently. I have been looking for a wireless speaker for while now and chose this model for its smaller size and excellent bass and better battery backup. Also, it is splash proof (IPX5 rating) which means you can hang it in your bathroom while you take a shower! I got the blue variant from Amazon. It is available in four attractive colors - red, black, blue and green. I mainly use it to play music from my Sony Hi-Res Walkman or OnePlus 3T phone. You can also connect it to your laptop via Bluetooth or AUX cable.

Here are the technical specifications:
  • Bluetooth speakers made for electronic dance music (EDM)
  • Extra bass for deep and punchy sound
  • One-touch listening with NFC and Bluetooth
  • Up to 16 hours of battery life for longer listening hours
  • Splash proof for worry-free use
  • Built-in mic for hands-free calling
  • Compact, portable design for easy carrying
  • 46mm full range drivers with 10m wireless range
  • Frequency Range: 2.4GHz
  • Bluetooth Profiles: A2DP/AVRCP/HFP/HSP
  • Supported Codecs: SBC/AAC
  • 1400mAh battery
Pros:
Easily pairs over Bluetooth or NFC
Compact and lightweight
Can add an additional speaker for stereo effect
Excellent bass for a portable speaker
Very reasonable battery backup of 14-16 hours
Superior build quality with rubberized body

Cons:
No display or indicator to check battery level
Sound quality disperses when used outdoors

Rating: 4/5

All in all, I would totally recommend this if you are looking for a portable speaker with all required features and sturdy, compact design to fill your room with music!
